Pointer
30 callouts, social elements and motion effects for DaVinci Resolve. The things every tutorial, review and explainer needs, each a drag-and-drop.
- 12 callouts: arrows, highlights, markers, a clicking cursor, a checklist, a speech bubble
- 8 social elements: progress bar, subscribe button, countdown, like, notification, poll, chapter pill, timer
- 10 motion effects that drop straight onto a clip: punch zoom, slow push, shake, blur in, letterbox, vignette, flash, whip blur and more
- Every shape has a drop shadow, a colour picker and in and out timing in the Inspector
- Built from Resolve's own tools, so it works in Free and Studio, 19 and up
Instant download. One-time payment, no subscription. Works in Resolve Free and Studio. 30-day refund if unused.
Two kinds of template.
Callouts and social elements go on the track above your footage. Motion effects go straight onto the clip itself. Both come from the same Effects Library, under OvercutFX Pointer.
Point it, colour it, time it.
Every callout has position sliders for where it sits, a size, a colour picker and a Shadow slider, plus In and Out durations and an easing choice. The highlights dim everything outside the shape by an amount you set. The arrow draws from tail to tip; the pointer travels from A to B and clicks; the checklist ticks off up to four items on an interval you choose.
The motion effects have their own small set of controls: an amount, a centre point where it matters, and a colour for the border, flash and letterbox.
All 30.

Quick answers
Does this work in DaVinci Resolve Free?
Yes. Nothing in any OvercutFX pack uses a Studio-only tool. Every template is tested on free Resolve before it ships.
How do I install it?
Drag the .drfx file onto the Fusion page. Resolve installs it and the templates appear in the Effects Library under the OvercutFX folders. No fonts, no plugins, no restart.
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment per pack, and every update to that pack is free for as long as it exists.
Can I use it on client projects?
Yes, unlimited commercial use in anything you edit. The only thing you can't do is resell or share the templates themselves.
Do you offer refunds?
Within 30 days, as long as you haven't used the templates yet. Once used, no refund, unless something doesn't work in a supported version of Resolve. Email the address on your receipt.
Where do the motion effects go?
Onto the clip, not above it. Open Effects, Fusion Effects, OvercutFX Pointer, and drag one onto a clip on the timeline. The controls appear in the Inspector under Effects.
